Charles Skelley: Candidates who started raising money too early to participate in Project Whitehouse

Incumbent Senators and Representatives have rarely been elected to the office of president of the US. Only two incumbent Senators have ever been elected president (Warren Harding and John Kennedy). So it is disappointing that such a vast majority of the “hundreds of million dollars” for campaign funding is being channeled to incumbent Senators and Representatives for this 2008 election. These are nice people. But if they really had solutions to our country’s problems, why is the US currently in such bad condition?

Here is the reported data about candidatesa who started raising money too early to participate in Project White House. (Source: Wikipedia article entitled “Fundraising for United States presidential election of 2008”).
