Orion Karl Daley: The Voices of Our Nation

Dear Community Leaders:

As a Presidential Candidate for Election 2008, I am reaching out for community leaders across our nation to share this important message.

Most Americans have been raised with a consciousness of what makes us very special. We want to pride ourselves as being the kindest nation. Our Statue of Liberty has written on its tablet: “Give me your tired, your poor, Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, The wretched refuse of your teeming shore. Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me, I lift my lamp beside the golden door!” by Emma Lazarus

As Americans we are also accustomed to a very most powerful and undauntable pride. This is for good reason. Americans no matter what race, creed, color, religion, or followings and beliefs, are for the most part, decent, fair and moral minded people.

As being the nation that represents the most diversity of cultures, can make Continue reading

Union Empowerment for Election 2008

Dear Union Member:

I am the Presidential Candidate that has a progressive vision for service and labor unions.

Many unions are opting to endorse either Clinton or Obama. But what do either of these candidates actually mean by saying they support unions ?

Is Clinton or Obama willing to have the government fund long term strike loans, or provide grants for union startups? Do they even suggest a union like the UAW get shareholder votes in corporations like GM to prevent offshoring ?

For that matter, just how do they propose to return Continue reading

Peace with Dignity and a Better Deal with OPEC

It seems for McCain, that any political solution for Iraq is raising a ‘White Flag’, Romney denies any time tables, and Clinton and Obama speak of, but are not specific of any plans. Let me make mine very clear. As a Presidential Candidate, I will give you the time table for Continue reading

Orion Karl Daley: I Welcome Debate !

This morning, I got a request for a ‘recurring contribution’ from ‘Newt and his American Something or other’. I offerPresidential Candidate Orion Karl Daley you something of far more substance. The document is mostly derived from the book I authored, The New Deal. Folks in PA have asked for 50 copies. It is also obtainable here: http://unity2008.org/book/PASpeech.doc .

My opinion is that is it is worth printing and sharing . But that is my opinion which further holds that if any election 2008 candidate could match it, I would welcome debate for better solutions for restoring our nation.

Example: to demonstrate how to bring manufacturing and jobs back to our shores; and in contrast to some economic stimulus that really has not been spelled out, how about galvanizing our economy and strengthening our unions instead?

Example: How to afford Quality Health Care for 300 Million Americans and not at Tax Payer cost where claims are not denied ?

In fact, without a $90 million dollar campaign budget, students and teachers, and unions in Arkansas ( Hucks and Clintons State ) , Chicago ( Obama’s turf ), Georgia, Minnesota, NY, and Florida are, without being asked, getting ballot signatures for their State. There are no donations, except in the peoples trust in a vision that is responsible and real.

Best Regards,

Orion Karl Daley: True Change is through Competent Leadership

When I hear other presidential candidates, such as Obama, say that ‘Change is from the Bottom’ , I recoil !

It comes across as a token and patronizing excuse of what one’s empowerment should be. I say, ‘thanks, but no thanks, as this is not personal empowerment for me’. I want much more as a U.S. Citizen. In other words, how about at least some details !

Fundamental change has to be from the top down by whom we have entrusted with leadership. Let me provide an example of what I mean. Consider this in terms of Continue reading
